The machines I use are the Neo Tat rotary as well as the Dragon Fly. I prefer to use Hustle Butter Deluxe during the tattoo and for the aftercare. INKSLINGER TATTOO EQUIPMENT PROI have recently been introduced to Infinity Pro which is a phenomenal product. The products get distributed and are easily accessible to all the scratchers and ” wanna-be” tattoo artists who end up damaging not only peoples body’s but also the industry. I find the progression brilliant however frustrating at times as it progresses so fast and it’s hard to keep up with all the new products out there which also creates a huge market for knock offs and sub standard equipment. What are your thoughts on the progression of machines and inks? What types do you use? I also think the art culture here has a big impact on the industry” “I think it is defiantly bigger in Cape Town due to the over saturation of tattoo artists. The only way to get ahead and progress is by staying true to your own style. Trying to be as unique as possible and not imitate and do carbon copies of other artists work. I always keep updated with the forerunners of the tattoo industry and try break down their tattooing styles and adapt it to my own so that I can try to have the cutting edge above the rest. What do you do to progress in your tattoo styles, work and career? I find it helps having good reference no matter what you do or how easy the piece. Also not being scared of taking that plunge into the deep end whether it’s your first portrait or your first new school tattoo piece. I found it helped quite a bit being open minded and taking advice from wherever I got it. INKSLINGER TATTOO EQUIPMENT HOW TOWhen getting into tattooing, what did you find helped the most when learning how to tattoo? Then I can take my time to produce a masterpiece instead of chasing money. Hourly rate: I don’t agree with charging per hour, I prefer to charge per piece. Tattoo style: I am an all round artist but love doing cover ups Tattoo Check out our interview with Tyrone about tattoos and his career, and the photo gallery of some of his masterpieces. What better time to hook up our Tattoo Artist of the Week feature with this talented Cape Town artist. While down in Cape Town recently we had the opportunity to meet up with Tyrone de Bruin, better known as Tyrone InkSlinger, at the SkullBox and Tattoo Company.

"The upturned waka is another important part of the narrative," Mr Haines said. Hence, the outpatient building will mainly use colours and materials associated with the land, while the larger inpatients building will use the colours of the sea to reference it being built on largely reclaimed land. The hospital site straddles both the original foreshore and long-settled land, and the architects have planned buildings which go "from dry feet to wet feet" as they march along the site. "There has been a close connection and we have been working with Aukaha, which has developed for us a story of the site and the land, and we have worked with them to incorporate that into the project." "The co-design process we have gone through has been very rich and very deep, and it has been very much since day one," he said. Its colours also helped determine the palate used for both the interiors and exteriors of the five-storey outpatient building, principal architect Darryl Haines, from Warren and Mahoney, said. Its main use was as lashing or rope, and that use for joining and splicing have become important design elements in the complex. The Ngāi Tahu who called Ōtepoti home used the plant, which grew abundantly in the area, for a range of purposes, including medicinal. The humble supplejack might not seem an inspirational plant, but for the architects designing the new Dunedin hospital it has fuelled a wellspring of creativity. He explains the design choices his team has made to health reporter Mike Houlahan. We've been getting asked this a lot lately so a good opportunity to share the process of getting hands-on with any Smalland testing. There are also some unqiue variations of various insects that will require a little hunting down. Insects in Smalland will all appear at the same size, we don't have different stages of growth in the game, though we do currently have baby spiders (approach with caution, mum is never too far away.). Will there be baby insects and animals and will we also see each stage of insects such as beetles, moths, butterflies etc? Lastly, the wildlife of Smalland will adapt to the seasons, with some creatures being more abundant in one season than another. Weather will change depending on the season too, and in gameplay terms, you'll want to prepare your armour setup accordingly when you set out into the world. The landscape will change to reflect, with the leaves turning from fresh greens to the mellow shades of autumn and disappearing entirely in some cases in the winter. You can expect bright, sunny days in the summer, and gloomy, grey days in the winter. Seasons touch the game world in a number of ways. We're back to dive a little deeper into some of your questions that we've picked up from the community! There's lots of exciting progress being made by the development team and we'll continue to share news and progress on the game as we continue building towards the early access release. You can still climb your way up to the top and establish a base of operations up there, but they feel truly gargantuan now!Ĭoming back down to ground level there's some new scaling work in progress which you can see with one of our ants. One element that has been scaled up significantly are the main trees dotted around Smalland. Nothing is final yet, but here's a work-in-progress look at how the starting area is shaping up. We felt that the sense of scale could be further improved so we've been working to heighten the sense of scale when exploring Smalland. We've always had scale at the forefront of Smalland and everything is built around that. We've also had a lot of great feedback from recent closed playtests, and some of that feedback has been making its way into development. Recently, team Smalland took on a new level designer who has been working hard on the topography of Smalland and how the player is guided through each zone. We wanted to show you a little more of what is going on behind the scenes are we continue development towards the early access release.
